Dr. Kyla Stewart ND

Naturopathic Doctor in Kelowna, BC

A little about me.

I was born and raised in Vernon, BC. I attended the University of British Columbia (UBC) where I completed a double major in chemistry and biology, as well as a degree in Education. After travelling and teaching abroad for a few years, I returned home to pursue my life long love of health and medicine by completing my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). I have also completed extensive clinical training in a variety of integrative settings including Empower Health and the Boucher Naturopathic Clinic.

I fell in love with Naturopathic Medicine because it is a practice where I can unify my passions for science, medicine and health, while giving my patients the time to tell their health story.

I see our body as our first home. A home you should feel safe and healthy in, so when your health begins to stray it can be concerning and even frightening. While only you have the power to nourish and strengthen your body, my goal is to help guide and support your health journey. In each case I begin with supportive labs and lifestyle foundations to ensure further treatments such as herbs, nutraceuticals, nutrient IV therapy and injections are successful. Following this are a set of tailored plans to help you achieve your health goals.

MY PRACTICE FOCUS

I have experience in supporting a variety of concerns and conditions. I have a particular focus in integrative cancer care, women’s health, digestive concerns, autoimmune support, and general health. While a portion of my practice focuses on women’s health, I also work with all genders and ages.

Integrative cancer care has a very special place in my heart both professionally and personally. Cancer is a complex disease where informational overload can become overwhelming. It is often difficult to process all the information available for one to determine what is appropriate and safe. I support those in all phases of treatment, whether this is prevention, during active treatment or during remission. I use focused and evidence-based strategies such as high dose vitamin C, mistletoe therapy, and well researched and targeted nutrient therapies.

With the ever-increasing information available, it is hard to know where to start. It is my hope to help you sort through all the numerous and complex medical information available, and refine it into a simple, consistent plan designed specifically for each person.
